I want your experience to be completely stress-free from the moment you walk through the door. Below are answers to the questions heard most often to help you prepare for a deeply relaxing and restorative visit.
What should I expect during my very first visit?
Your first session begins with a brief, casual conversation about your body. We will talk about any specific areas of pain or tightness you want to focus on, your history with massage, and what goals you have for the day—whether that is melting away a tension headache or just unplugging from a busy week. You and I will customize the session together before you ever step foot on the table.
How much clothing should I remove for my massage?
You should undress to your absolute level of comfort. Many clients choose to dress down to their undergarments. You may choose to stay fully dressed or somewhere in between. No matter what you choose, you will always be securely and professionally covered by a top sheet and blanket, (unless fully dressed). Only the specific area of your body being actively massaged (like your back or an arm) will be uncovered at any given time. Your privacy, comfort, and peace of mind are THE highest priorities.
Will the deep tissue work for pain relief hurt?
No. While I do use intentional, deeper pressure to unlock stubborn knots and chronic tightness, I always work with your body, not against it. Real relief doesn't require suffering. I maintain a slow, mindful rhythm and check in on your comfort level to ensure the pressure feels therapeutic, productive, and deeply relieving, rather than painful.
Can I talk during my massage, or should I stay quiet?
This is entirely your time, and there is no right or wrong way to enjoy it. If chatting helps you relax, I am happy to talk. If you prefer to close your eyes, focus on your breathing, and drift off into quiet stillness, I will follow your lead. The only thing I always want you to speak up about is if you experience any discomfort, need a change in room temperature, music volume, or massage pressure.
What should I do after my session is over?
After your massage, I recommend taking your time getting up from the table. I will have a small complimentary bottle of water waiting for you to help rehydrate your muscles. For the rest of the day, try to avoid strenuous workouts, drink plenty of water, and allow yourself to gently ease back into your routine to let the physical and mental benefits of the session fully settle in.
